Keith McCardel and Ray Lyon will provide participants with a summary of how they've acquired four Culligan dealerships in Northern Michigan, as well as five competitor businesses within those Franchise territories from February 2008 through July 2013. Keith McCardel purchased the Traverse City Culligan Dealership, his first, on May 1, 1973. Their presentation will include sample worksheets and analysis that will help Culligan dealers gain the confidence to expand their own operations or to make their own dealership more attractive to another Culligan dealer.

Bios

Keith McCardel, CEO, McCardel Culligan Group

Keith McCardel needs very little introduction to the CDANA membership. Keith has been a forty one year operator of award winning Culligan Dealerships and was a Culligan District Manager for six years prior to acquiring the Traverse City Culligan Franchise; his first franchise location. Keith has a bachelor's degree in marketing and advertising from Ferris State University and a lifetime of on the job training.

Ray Lyon, Controller, McCardel Culligan Group

Ray Lyon has been with the McCardel Culligan group since May, 2009. At that time, Keith McCardel operated two Culligan franchise territories; Traverse City and Big Rapids. During Ray's tenure with the company, the McCardel Group has acquired three Culligan Franchise territories and five competing water businesses. Ray has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. He spent five years managing a two restaurant operation from age 19 to 24; nineteen years in public accounting as a CPA with a regional public accounting firm; and four years in private controllership positions before joining the McCardel Culligan group.
